“FAST gives us a financial modelling platform that we can trust”
Rutger te Grotenhuis & Yann Plandoux, Advisors, Rebel Group
Based in the Netherlands and Belgium, REBEL were quick to see the benefits of a standardised approach to financial modelling. They have adopted FAST throughout their in-house modelling, without losing their unique house style, and have systematically increased the quality and professionalism of their modelling. We have supported them with face-to-face and online training.
“One of the best courses I've ever been on”
Elizabeth Debevoise and Stephan Knobloch, Bankers, EBRD
In 2010, EBRD appointed F1F9 as their financial modelling provider under a three year contract. They are implementing FAST across the bank and we are supporting them with face-to-face financial modelling courses, post-training certification and online support.
“We got people in the organisation all working in the same way”
Jerome Brice, Partner, Mazars
Mazars understood that ensuring quality and consistency of modelling across a global team would require standardisation. Through a combination of in person and online training, we have supported them in achieving that. One of the early adopters of FAST, Mazars are now members of the Moderation Board of the FAST Standard Organisation.
“A breakthrough in our thinking about financial modelling”
Nathan Goode, Partner, Grant Thornton
When Grant Thornton set about standardising financial modelling, they realised that there was more to the process than training. In partnership with us, they implemented a change management programme known as "Project Lego" which revolutionised the way modelling is done in the firm. In addition to face-to-face and online training for modellers and their managers, the programme included process change, modeller certification and model rebuild.
“The error margin we have in our models has gone down drastically”
Robert-Jan Bakker, Senior Consultant, Deloitte
We have trained large numbers of Deloitte staff in the Netherlands over several years to use the FAST standard. They recognise that FAST gives a common language which allows modellers and their clients to communicate effectively and efficiently. It has also greatly improved the speed at which they can build models as several modellers can develop different “chapters” of the model in parallel.
